another winner. i like this smell alot. its a nice sweetness. i dont really pick up on the tobacco bit no problem for me. very nice.

I love the tobacco of longleaf. I feel your product of dead wood tobacco is a lot stronger. The scent profile hits it. I just wish the scent lasted a little longer. They're about 5 hours it faded and had to reapply some oil. Your liquid butter by far hands down. I absolutely love liquid butter. It is my top form of butter. If you can come up with the wash and conditioner that is scented and deodorant that is scented of each one. I would have a hard time not switching to rugged pirate as my main brand.

If you're looking for a dark scent that'll last all day, you need to try Midnight Marauder! Lots of different tobaccos that blend effortlessly together. A few sweet tobacco notes keep this from being too dark.

The mystery oil was amazing. Captain Deepwake. It was very mandarin out of the bottle but once it settles in...all the notes start to come out and make for a very pleasant wear. I will give Captain Deepwake 💀 💀 💀 out of 4.

Black Sails Brew from Rugged Pirate Beard Co. is one of those scents that immediately grabs your attention the second the bottle opens. The black coffee note hits first, dark, bold, rich, and realistic without smelling artificial or overly sweet. It genuinely smells like freshly brewed black coffee instead of a generic “coffee candle” scent.

As it settles into beard, the scent starts evolving. The rum comes forward adding warmth and depth, while the leather note smooths everything out with a rugged masculine edge. The overall vibe feels like sitting below deck on an old pirate ship with a hot cup of strong coffee, worn leather gear, and a splash of dark spiced rum nearby.

What impressed me most is how layered the scent feels. It changes throughout the wear instead of staying one-dimensional. The coffee stays present the entire time, but the supporting notes slowly rotate in and out which keeps it interesting for hours.

Performance was excellent for me as well. The scent strength is definitely on the stronger side without becoming overwhelming, and the longevity lasted most of the day in my beard. The oil itself left my beard feeling soft, hydrated, and easy to style without feeling greasy.

If you enjoy dark gourmand scents, coffee profiles, leather scents, or bold masculine blends, Black Sails Brew is absolutely worth checking out. This one feels cozy, rugged, and adventurous all at the same time.

The top node starts off strong then shortly thereafter you get the mellowed out. Ozone for the middle note, along with the the bass node of leather. I absolutely love it. Along with its partner scent from Essential Earth. It is like brothers that United after a long time apart.

This scent is fantastic in that old hippy headshop type of way! A++
