Ordered Squiffy Planks and Long Leaf couple weeks ago. Both are amazing and heavily in the rotation.
I wanted to start off by addressing someone who complained about customer service issues with RP.
I have worked with and ordered from Nick from RP for over 6 months. Ordered over a dozen scents/products. Not once have I had a bad or even questionable experience.
Enough of that. I loved Iron Mariner. Has all the key scents I enjoy and the feel in beard is amazing. This is in the top 3-4 of any I have picked up from Nick over @RP.
What can I say? Is this a treasure? Aye, it is! It's truly the gold standard of smell. Imagine finding Long John Silver’s legendary loot, but instead of pirates trying to plunder it, this smell attracts women to grab your treasure—and by treasure, I mean your beard, your manhood, or maybe even more!!
crisp, bright citrus summer time perfection. this one is so good family! its clean and fresh awesome for the season.
one of the finest blended tobacco scents ive had in beard. incredibly well done. and the dry down is amazing! Rich full leaf tobaccos blended smooth AF carried with a masculine cologne.... its the trifecta of awesome brothers.
crisp, bright citrus summer time perfection. this one is so good family! its clean and fresh awesome for the season.
Excellent product, as usual!
This is a nice Citrusy, Green thing going on. They are both balanced very well. This is a very pleasant scent. Give it a try.
Good products, bad service. Received damaged liquid butters and he didn't refund or replace. Will never buy again.
Hi Kirill, we spoke with you directly and you told me that the product was damaged and then sent a picture of another beard company's broken bottle. And when I asked for proof so I could submit a claim to the post office you claimed that you would send a picture and never did but then said your wife complained about you ordering too many products and you were enjoying the oils and butters. I even gave you the claim info to submit a claim with the postal service.
This is a really fun thing to do. Be warned, it’s addictive!
I wanted to start off by saying that if you're looking for this to be something sweet or not willing to pick it up, due to that, you're so wrong. The mango gives is balance. This is not some tropical scent that will blow your hat off. This is classy. This is masculine. Enough said. The tobacco, whiskey and woodsy mahogany pair up so well.
Rather you’re looking chilling on the beach, or your living room couch. This scent profile right here is hands down the scent of the summer! It’s vacation in a bottle. It’s swim trunks and suntan lotion. It’s everything you’d want in a summer scent!
Iron Mariner is a bold, fresh masculine scent in tribute to Jeremiah Ccok’s dad. Rugged Pirate strong (Nick don’t make no weak scents…😉) and lasts all day long.
Buy from Nicholas, his customer service is top notch!
Very good quality highly recommend
Do not buy frim this guy. I received damaged liquid butters and he didn't make it right at all.
Don Canela is another knockout from Rugged Pirate’s Sweet-Toothed Savages line, delivering a gourmand experience that somehow manages to be both delicious and dangerous at the same time.
Right from the start, the cinnamon sugar explodes forward with that unmistakable fresh churro-shop aroma. It’s warm, sweet, and incredibly realistic. The blood orange adds a bright citrus spark that keeps the opening from becoming overly heavy, while the black pepper sneaks in just enough bite to remind you this isn’t your average bakery scent.
Once in beard, the magic really starts to unfold. The fried churro dough and dulce de leche take center stage, creating a rich, buttery dessert accord that smells fresh, warm, and completely addictive. The spiced rum and toasted vanilla weave through the sweetness beautifully, adding depth and a slightly boozy warmth that feels like a pirate celebration after a successful raid.
As the scent settles, Don Canela reveals its darker side. Smoldering embers, toasted tonka bean, and guaiacwood emerge to ground all that sweetness with smoky sophistication. The dry down feels like standing in a pirate bakery long after midnight—the ovens still glowing, embers crackling, and the scent of fresh pastries lingering in the air.
What makes Don Canela special is its balance. It never becomes cloying or one-dimensional. The sweetness is rich and indulgent, but the spice, smoke, and woods constantly keep it in check. It’s a scent that evolves throughout the day, rewarding every beard sniff with something new.
If you’re a fan of gourmand scents, churro fragrances, or sweet profiles with a rugged edge, Don Canela is an easy recommendation. It perfectly captures the spirit of El Diablo Dulce—a sweet-toothed savage who rules his lawless port with cinnamon sugar on one hand and fire on the other.
Sweet, spicy, smoky, and utterly addictive. Don Canela smells like a fresh churro dipped in dulce de leche while a pirate bakery burns gloriously in the background.
My favorite customs to date. This scent was inspired by my time fighting forest fires out west. Crew brewing coffee in the morning while we were blackening in a smoke inversion overnight. This is a nice smokey coffee scent.
One of my November 2025 customs. Basically Christmas in a bottle. Tried to replicate a tradition my family had of simmering a mix of holiday spices, orange peels, and cider on the stove. And Lucas Hall nailed it with the artwork.
One of the best parts of Rugged Pirate is getting to make custom scents. Really lets the creativity flow. Blackhold Reserve was my May 2026 custom, and it’s one of my best ones.
This is now my second favorite tobacco scent, right behind Deadwood Tobacco. Perfect blend of our and tobacco.
Kept seeing people get this as a mystery scent with their orders, and was so happy once it was released. It’s a well balanced sweet spicy woodsy tobacco scent. There is a reason it is popular as it hits the right notes for a large spectrum of scents.
Now this was right up my alley. I like my scents to be on the verge of murdering someone in darkness. And this was that. So much dark rich smoke from the charred oak, smokey driftwood, and gunpowder. Clive gives it a bit of spice, and the rum gives it a hint of sweetness.
Scent is a mix of all the tobacco, vanilla, and caramel. Not a huge fan of sweet or vanilla scents, but this one blends perfectly with the tobacco and oud. I can see why it won custom of the month.
